Sorry to bump but just wanted to say how grateful I am for this band. Their music has been providing some calmness in what has been an increasingly terrifying and stressful few weeks.

 

So this is their best record, right?

 

This just reminded me it’s been way too long since I listened to Souvlaki

 

their best is Pygmalion but this is close

 

they aren't my favorite of the OG shoegazers but this is still pretty stunning

Surprised to see them recording still. They were posting LP5 stuff almost a year ago in September which had me hoping for a possible 2021 release (doubt it at this point). Excited to see they're still working on it though!

 

I'm glad they're taking their time here. It took 20+ years to get LP4, I'm fine with 5 years to get LP5 if it's another masterpiece.

 

Sorry to hear Simon hurt his back and that's going to possibly delay LP5 to 2024.

 

Bummer. Now that Daughter dropped, Slowdive is pretty much at the top of my unconfirmed most anticipated

 

The new album will be called Everything is Alive and released on September 1, 2023.
