This is super good. I need to spend more time with it but it's hard w/ everything else I'm obsessing over atm
Awesome album. To me 'Sugar For the Pill" is an instant classic, possibly the best song Slowdive has ever done and that's enormous praise considering Alison, 40 Days, When the Sun Hits. There is an ethereal beauty that permeates the album from beginning to end and I just can't get enough of it. 10/10, A+. P.S. I hope the next album is the logical successor to Pygmalion with lots of loops and abstract phrasing.
The guitar in 'Falling Ashes' reminds me a bit of Mogwai's contributions in the Clint Mansell soundtrack to "The Fountain".
Picked a silver variant of this up yesterday, sounds super good. This has been in such heavy rotation for me
This and Alex G are practically all I've been listening to this month (which is saying a lot considering how many great records were released this month)
