I was randomly listening to Slipknot at the gym today and noticed the "character" on the new single art had WANYK on his chest. All makes sense now.

I shared my location and got August 9th, and then obviously the countdown is for roughly 4 days from now

So I guess new song then, album announcement and it comes out August 9th. Cool cool.

I shared my location and it told me coordinates for 16 miles southeast of me. West Hollywood is about that distance away so maybe they’ll be playing somewhere there? That’d be wild since none of LA’s biggest venues are there...

Oh I'm like an hour north of NYC so that's probably why I only got the August 9th date, they see my location and are like "oh lmao yea right you in bumblefuck nowhere, here's a consolation date"

 

I am in the UK and I got the same thing so yeah seems likely.

 

So normally the first single they drop off a new record is heavier than their first radio single (ie: Heretic Anthem/Pulse of the Maggots/All Hope is Gone/The Negative One). I'm hoping that "All Out Life" was just a stand-alone single and they give us a hefty lil fucker.

This new, more, er, compact musician is also undergoing something of a facial makeover with his new Slipknot masks, which he affectionately refers to as his “children”. Not that we’re allowed to take a peek at them just yet – the big reveal is still to come. “I posted a photo on Instagram of my children, but they had garbage bags over their heads so you couldn’t see them,” Clown smiles. “They’re doing good – they’ve had their hair sewn on now, and both hair is the same, which is interesting. My wife doesn’t like the new masks – I’ll just let the whole world know that. She’s not feeling it at all (laughs). But when I sewed the hair on, she liked it better.”

 

All signs point to the record being titled We Are Not Your Kind.
