Watching some footage and I think I'm going to be on a Slipknot & co (side-projects) kick for the foreseeable future. Have to give the latest another chance and hope Eloy's addition lit some creative fire in them for whatever comes next

 

Was at the MSG date. Tortilla Man a few songs in was on the top part of the stage doing the Australian Olympics breakdancers routine/flopping on the ground lol.

 

It's actually crazy a band as big as Slipknot got Victory Records'd.

 

A 7-album deal in '98 is honestly pretty wild, and I'm guessing it was risky for Roadrunner to a degree as well. Wild to bet on the band not imploding before the deal was up.

So Kelly Osbourne posted photos of her experience at the Slipknot show this weekend and accidentally posted that Jeff Karnowski is their sampler/Media guy now

 

I think people have known/speculated it was him for a bit now

 

yea I wasn’t in the loop to whether this was known or not.

 

Yeah the speculation started around the same time an image called eloy.jpg went up on a website, jeff.jpg went up as well. Seems he replaced Zac Baird at some point - if Zac was ever in the band at all.

 

Eloy is a fucking beast of a drummer, I was lucky enough to see him performing live when he was in Sepultura when they played in Birmingham a few years ago and fucking hell he was unreal and the last 3 Sepultura albums he played on... He made that band step up their game on those records and I am excited to see what he brings to the table creativity with Slipknot whenever they start recording new material
