I am really, really excited to see how they follow up WANYK, which I thought was a HUGE step in a cool direction for them.
I still trip out seeing that footage of him as a kid meeting them backstage and he’s dressed up like Corey. Crazy how future adult Jay would become the drummer of slipknot
"It's really killer, man," he continued. "It's darker than We Are Not Your Kind, but there's a ton of melody. I've been telling everybody that it's like a heavier version of Vol. 3. It's got so many textures and layers. The heavy stuff has attack but the melodic stuff you can just sink your teeth in; there's a lot of great melodies and hooks. I'm really, really excited for people to hear it." Lol I feel like this is the normal Corey PR speak because I know less about what the fuck this is going to sound like now.
At least he didn't compare it to Iowa lol I though WANYK was very Vol 3-ish with the prominent keyboards and interludes. That's arguably my favorite Slipknot when they incorporate Craig and Sid more.
NOT NEW MUSIC NEWS, but this is rad. https://metalinjection.net/around-t...-slipknot-to-teach-kids-about-time-signatures
New Vended single on which Griff sounds even more like his dad (hell the whole thing could be a new Slipknot song)
Not sure how legit this is, but I saw on Instagram sharing a "leaked" album cover and title. Googled it and found this. The End for Now…
Looking at the Twitter would suggest we get a clip from Unsainted/Nero Forte today and the new single tomorrow or Thursday, depending on how long they want to stretch it for. "Dying Song" sounds like a working title... or maybe that's just wishful thinking.
There's an image of the track listing from the back of an album cover on Twitter. Assuming it's legit then 'Dying Song' is the name of a track on the new album, and the new album will be called 'The End For Now...' with a release date of September 2nd.
