    New single is OK. Really not liking the guitars when they try doing their "black metal" parts in there.

    I honestly haven’t listened to or remember anything they’ve released past Iowa so this sounds like “early” Slipknot to me. Not sure if it’s a departure from the newer material or not.

    All Hope is Gone is an album that I’ve really come around to. I barely remember anything from the last album.

    My first thought is All Out Life sounds very similar to The Negative One so I'm not quite sure where this idea that it's a departure comes from.

    I thought that while it had a couple of mediocre songs Gray Chapter was a really good blend of their older style and more melodic elements.

    I’ve been thinking about this a lot, but there’s not a lot of bands that sound like Slipknot to a T. Sure tons of bands have tried to rip elements of their sound, but they really play in a league of their own.

    Idk people just made comments about some parts sounding like 2001 Slipknot so I grabbed their first two albums to try it out!

    I’m not a super huge fan of this band or anything but they have bangers and Iowa still sounds like it could’ve been made today, hard to believe it’s almost 20 years old
