I swear I saw some write-ups that they were trying to figure it out (after Slipknot released their official statement of his departure).
Slipknot put out a statement saying Chris was gone, Chris' lawyer put out a statement saying he was still in the band, Slipknot retracted their statement, Chris isn't in the video. Draw your own conclusions.
I like the album cover, I think it goes for that right kind of weird that they missed the mark on with the .5 album cover
I just read Laura Jane Grace's book and she did not have good things to say about Jay. Said he was a primadonna ("don't you know who my dad is!") and very rudely and quickly left the band. I am guessing because he got this call to audition for Slipknot.
My friends and I always have a laugh when we talk about 9.0 live album. Nearly every track opens with "This song is called...".
Somehow never really got into Slipknot back in the day - like knew of some songs, but was never my thing. But YouTube pushed the Kimmel live performance my way and the energy just won me over. Been listening to All Out Life and Unsainted quite a bit this week. Looking forward to this one coming out.
It still sounds badass though. "This song is gonna kick your fuckin ass, London. This song is called Disasterpiece... here we goooo."
