    No Fun. Not Ever.

Well it's a song alright. Part of me wants to think this was made as an excuse for Clown to do more of his "artsy fartsy" shit.

    hmmm

    I don't think it's bad.

My mind initially thought “oh cool I didn’t know she played guitar” and then went to “oh wait maybe she plays the drums!” and then to find out she was singing! What a ride.

Regardless I’m revisiting Iowa right now and my god does this still absolutely slap. I know they have nine members but it’s so layered. People=Shit is still unreal

I also listened to it in full yesterday since I picked up the vinyl. Easily one of the best drum and vocal performances on any metal album. The way the chaos is captured is phenomenal.

You can never be so gutturally vicious in the long run but it's worth it for the captured performance on record, and the performances on that record are still remarkable. Metal that visceral is a rare and special thing.

    No Fun. Not Ever.

Gently is up there with Purity as my all time favorite Slipknot track. The live version on Disasterpiece is god-tier.

I feel like it's going to be like Deftones and Eros. It'll be brought up every touring cycle and every time it'll be a little less and less done, and never be released.

    Wow - an OG!

I wonder how (if?) this changes their sound in the future. I never know what he and Sid are responsible for with their music as their additions are seemingly minuscule when compared the core instruments.

Short message for someone who has been around since the beginning. Hmm.

We reach for the longest shadow

Kind of wild that these are 50+ year old dudes now. The mask gimmick has definitely worked in their favor in that regard.

What a weird day to announce a member's departure when they're starting another tour.
