New single is fantastic. Very excited for this one! Sundowning was one of my favorite albums of 2019.

 

It's probably a stretch to call these guys metal, but I don't listen to this style of music all that much, and I absolutely love this band. The singer and drummer are both top notch and the riffage is on point

Take Aim was my favorite song from last year

 

Alkaline is a great first single!

 

I can't click with this band.

 

These two singles are hitting me so much harder than their older stuff. Very excited for this release.

Had a hard time with this band until I heard Hypnosis. Jesus that ending.

 

okay, it finally clicked. This is incredible.

 

Real nice album

No standouts for me like Take Aim, but Missing Limbs was a great ending note, and when the drums kick in on Atlantic, mmmm… actually when the drums kick in ever it’s awesome, this guy has the poppiest snare in metal

And was that a bluesy solo on Telomeres? Give me more of that

I agree. Really good album with the sublime Alkaline in the middle. The only flaw it has is Fall For Me. A bit of snoozer.

 

damn, I feel like Fall For Me is one of the highlights. He has such an incredible voice that it's a welcome change of pace.

 

Yeah what, Fall For Me is one of my faves, it’s a one trick pony but it reminds me of Hide and Seek by Imogen Heap which was unexpectedly awesome

 

Atlantic is one of my favourite songs of the year tbh

 

as much as i really dig all of the singles (that three track run from The Love You Want to Alkaline is really damn good) and other songs scattered throughout (Hypnosis, Descending), i don't really understand the hype around this album. like they have a great sound, but some of it either blends together or just doesn't strike me as game-changing. it's fine but not phenomenal for me. idk, maybe i need to listen several more times.

 

I always assume the hype comes from the singer and the drummer. The music is about as poppy as metal can possibly get, but the drumming is incredibly versatile and catchy, and as a vocalist Vessel has an excellent range and tone, the combination is a really pleasant sounding type of metal if that makes sense

 

Listening again today.

Holy hell. Amazing.
