Ppl are comparing ST to Imagine Dragons?!

 

Yeah find me that track where Vessel is outright yelling into the microphone like a frat boy in a wind tunnel and I’ll listen to the Imagine Dragon comparisons

 

Just finished my first listen and this is giving huge Nickelback, Coldplay, Imagine Draggin Deez Nutsvibes

 

Album is truly something else, one of the most daring albums of the year especially in the back half.

 

The end of the title track makes me want to break something. I love the variety here.

 

Imagine Dragons sucks ass. Why is this even a comparison? Not a damn thing sound similar.

 

First time listening to these guys, very interesting mix of genres and tones, though I don't think it gels 100% of the time, and I'm 50/50 on if some of the hokier moments work for me or not but I really respect what they put out here.

Just wish it's heavier moments were a bit more frequent, but maybe it being so sparing makes them that much more effective and as mentioned the end of the title track rules.

Currently listening to the back half of the album. I'll wait to do it in its entirety when I get my vinyl.

The pop elements are definitely a lot more predominant and I can say I do hear a bit of old school Coldplay during the piano bits. But this is a devastingly beautiful album front to back. Definitely will be an AOTY contender for me.

But the end of the title track totally caught me off guard... Absolutely crushing!

"Room feels like a meat freezer, I dangle in like cold cuts." line had me chuckling though...

 

Got the vinyl in the mail this morning. Will have to wait to listen untill I find the time. What variant do you all have? Mine is the glow in the dark one

Ascensionism is…wow. That track blew me away.

 

The trap part into the metal switch up got my jaw on the floor

Man DYWTYLM hits so hard in context

 

Ascensionism is the stand out 100% for me. It took everything I really enjoy about Sleep Token and crunched that shit into 7 minutes.

This album is insane

 

Weird, I'm getting who hurt the guy from Bastille vibes

I love this album. I wish I heard about them sooner!

 

Finally got to listen this front to back. There's so much to take in on the tracks that were unreleased. Album is sprawling and diverse, I love it. Plus my preorder is Out for Delivery, so can't wait to listen to this not on headphones.

 

Was trying to place what the singer on this sounded like, reminds me of the Machine Head guy if he did more cleans

 

Rain is so groovy.

 

Euclid is such a perfect closer, god damn this album is unreal.

 

This is pretty good, but it's way (way way) too long.

Cut a good 20-25 minutes from it and then we'll talk.

 

Hard disagree, think this thing breezes by for a 60 minute record

 

Def don't wanna talk after doing that. Album is perfect.

 

I could've sworn it was twice as long.
