One of the most special debut albums I've heard in quite a long while. This band blends metal, post-hardcore, alternative/indie, post-rock, and so much more into a haunting aesthetic that's all their own. Some of these tracks are absolutely gorgeous, and the whole blend is so creative. FFO: Deftones, VOLA, Leprous, Arcane Roots, Black Peaks
@Cameron @Petit nain des Îles @redwing91007 @atlas @Colin Your Enthusiasm @DesolateEarth @mattylikesfilms @sawhney[rusted]2 Tagged a few of you who I think might love this album. If you're not interested feel free to ignore... just want to spread the love for this band, couldn't believe there's no discussion on here.
@beachdude appreciate the VOLA comparison as well as I can really hear it. Didn't know a note of their music before they opened for Anathema, one of my favourite bands, at their homecoming show in Liverpool in July. Really enjoyed them and I'm SUPER into this.
Hell yeah! VOLA are still so underrated, their album “Applause of a Distant Crowd” was one of my favorites of last year.
I love these guys, saw them open for Issues on Wednesday and they KILLED IT. 'The Way That You Were' is one of my favorite songs of all time, and I'm excited to see where their lore goes from here. They're a very theatrical band, so here's their backstory for those who are into the lore and stuff: Who and what the hell are Sleep Token? | Louder
Oh yeah I've been listening to this for a little while now. Kinda gimmicky but they're good and their drummer's snare sounds like god so I'm into it. Wanted to see them with Issues tomorrow but I won't get off of work before they play, hopefully they come back soon
Filing this band away in my list of bands that I probably should like on paper but just can't get into.
I really like this album, slept on it for too long but its really grabbed me lately "Take Aim" in particular is the long lost Aereogramme track I've been waiting years for
