oh shit, and Revolver's warehouse is 3 hours away from me, so i might be getting this tomorrow or Wednesday at this rate (hopefully before Thursday because i'm going out of town for a wedding)

The quotations on "review" are doing some crazy heavy lifting.

 

i only put it in quotes because it's four paragraphs from a digital music storefront/streaming service mostly listing song details - not really critiquing it the way most music journalists would. it's informative and makes me excited to hear the full album, but i wouldn't call it a review in the traditional sense.

 

I’m going zero dark thirty this week on reviews. Want to go into my first listen with just the singles as a reference to the album.

 

Preorder from band’s site is arriving Friday for me. If it does, then that’s two in a row with ST preorders arriving on release day. Impressive and appreciated lol

 

So curious to see how this turns out. Not usually my cup of tea but I’m intrigued.

 

Ironically, I got into Sleep Token because of BILMURI and not the other way around haha.

Excited for this release.

idk if this is gonna overtake TMBTE, but damn that was great. some of their best material on this album.

Really can't get over this one. Strong highlight of the album so far.

 

Great album. Gethsemane is easily the standout but there were no misses for me.

 

Ending of Infinite Baths is exactly what I wanted
Highlights for me are Look to Windward, Gethsemane, Infinite Baths, Damocles, and Past Self
Really solid all the way through

 

I have a feeling this will be no. 1 on billboard next week

 

It is such an interesting record. Definitely a continuation of TMBTE however in terms of sound it is not a significant change from it. I got into them during the last record so the sound and the song structures are definitely familiar and after TMBTE it is at times a bit predictable? as well.
But nevertheless the songs are great, Vessels singing sounds the best on this record and oh my the harsh scream/singing during that part of the title track is something else. It might not top TMBTE for me, but after that much of anticipation it would have been really hard to, however they definitely exceeded my expectation.
