seeing on FB a bunch of stores aren’t getting this bc Third Man made them buy it sight unseen ahead of time only saying “it’s a new album by a band that hasn’t released one in nearly 20 years.” so fucking dumb.

 

Al’s voice sounds fucking great, which kinda surprised me

 

It was a little jarring at first how clear his tone is almost like spoken word but it works

goes without saying but this is obviously a home run for ballou. he made them sound exactly the way they should sound 19 years on.

Damn Jake.... you're right. These days it's honestly kinda tough for me to get through stoner/doom metal releases after loving the genre for so long. But I will listen to this start to finish constantly just to hear The Botanist close it out.

They really knocked it out of the park. Years from now the release date will be stuff of legend too. Legendary band.

Oh yeah that's weird they were definitely at God City last year. Maybe I'm confusing them with High On Fire who may have been the ones at god city
