Haven't listened to this band a ton but this song RULES.

 

Song is alright but I’m not really feeling excited over this ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

liked it a lot more on second listen actually

 

The new song is really good, I probably like it more than Worry With You

 

I wasn't sure about it at the beginning and I think I was into it by the end. this is gonna be an interesting record. I kinda like the mood of it though. listening to High in the Grass again now and liking it a whole lot more than before

 

I dig it. Now I want a tour of Sleater-Kinney/Iceage

 

these songs are kind of like The Woods fuzzy/classicish rock with the mood/emotional tone of The Hot Rock. looking forward to hearing the whole thing together

This is out today? Is it just me or is this one flying completely under the radar?

 

I think this is by design. I think very few advances were sent out to press (as someone who tried to get one lol). I think after the last cycle they just wanted to put this thing out which is understandable

 

I'll never understand why the last one wasn't very well received. I can only guess it had to do with the split, but musically, it was pretty much exactly what I wanted from them!

Unfortunately, I'm not big on the singles from this, but I'll definitely check it out sometime this weekend.

 

The non singles def sound much more like classic S-K

I think it was mostly because of the fact it coincided with Janet's departure. Yes, it was a curveball sonically, but I think it's a good album in a vacuum. Would Janet have stayed if they made a different album? Who knows.

I liked this on my first listen, but didn't love it. Definitely liked the last 2 more.
