I love this.

 

I'm getting a lot of Neil Young vibes on here and I love it so much. Birdie is pretty flawless imo and one of my faves of this decade but this is a really pleasant listen and I'm sure it'll grow on me a ton. Also "Good Ones" feels like the "Gold & Green" of this record to me.

 

Black Oak is my favorite, so great

i've heard this described as "folk rock," is that accurate?

 

Definitely need some more time with this album. Didn’t hit me as immediate at Birdie did (although I really think Birdie may end up being an all-timer for me).

Looking forward to getting more listens of this.

it’s good but far less immediate than his last album which is an all timer at this point for me

 

The album didn’t do much for me on first listen. I’ll have to spend a few more listens and hopefully it clicks!

Echoing the Black Oak praise, that was great. SBD is at its best doing stuff like that entire outro

 

Weaktherthan vibes are all over this, was not really anticipating this at all but it was a nice surprise on Friday.

Album has really grown on me. Absolutely loving it.

 

Their set was great tonight, and it would of been better if the crowd would of stopped talking

 

Saw them on Friday in Cambridge and was v pleased with how all the new songs sounded live. They've started to click with me a lot more and this record is slowly reaching toward Birdie levels of enjoyment for me.

 

Bummed I'm gonna be missing SBD for like, the third straight time they're coming to Cleveland. Will be out of town the weekend they're here.

Thats amazing. I'm tempted to hit both Portland & Portsmouth since I'm so close to both

 

up to something.

 

Would love an EP.

 

Wild to think that Safe is only 16 months old. Feels like so long ago.

 

I think Safe is my favorite record of his thus far, but they're all top tier.
