This is really good. He still hasn’t released anything close to Birdie imo, but that album is a top-tier classic for me.
Helped put this together for FLOOD 5 Non-Musical Influences on Slaughter Beach, Dog’s Latest Album “Crying, Laughing, Waving, Smiling”
Owning a home with a driveway and getting hit by a snowstorm for the first time is one of the biggest eye-openers of a lifetime.
Did a disco run today. Welcome is decent, Safe and Also No Fear still doesn't do much for me, but I'll keep trying. Everything else I love. Think it might've honestly took me until now to actually get over MoBo and accept SB,D into my life fully lol
I'm glad I got to see MoBo once before they hung it up, I've accepted they're probably never coming back. SB,D is great and I love that the side project is now Jake's main focus. It's totally understandable that Bren's mental health forced them off the road but if they don't want to come back to that, that's fine.
I loved MoBo but I have a hard time coming back to anything other than Holy Ghost these days. Only SB,D record I have a hard time getting into is Moonbase. Just doesn't click with me on record but I did enjoy hearing them play those songs live. Birdie is one of my all time favorites and S&ANF is like Birdie-lite for me. The new one is definitely doing it for me but I'll need to listen to it a few times more before it sticks.
My Sister In Jesus Christ is such a good tune. I'm pretty in love with this whole album. It gets better every time I hear it.
I did not! Birdie and At the Moonbase are pretty on par for me, but I think CLSW takes it all up a notch
They killed it last night in Boston. I feel like they get better every time I see them. Only gripe is they only played one song of SAANF.
Went to this show yesterday and while Slaughter Beach, Dog was amazing, Erin Rae was definitely a big highlight of the evening. She used to tour through my college town years ago but I hadn’t seen her since then but I loved her set so much!
This is random. Three shows on the tour cancelled. Low ticket sales? I’ve noticed a lot more sponsored posts for the CLE show lately.
