Slam Dunk Festival - UK - 2024 Tour

    Festival has a good selection of bands for me.

    • I would pay the ticket price to see AAR themselves. Havent played the uk in 10 years? Due to a customs issue by the sounds of it! Personally think they should be headliner.
    • Main stage is pretty solid except from the headliner ironically. I'll probably go there and then boost to see the wonder years after AAR. YM@6 as headliners to me is one of the weaker headliners in the festival's history.

    I'm gonna wait and see what the next announcement brings, though I think a lot of the nay-saying is very over the top. YMA6 and AAR are good gets for this festival even if they're not my cup of tea. (I can't tell from the announcement if YMA6 are the sole headliner or if it's a co-headline deal like with Dropkick Murphys and Sum 41 last year)

    The main thing it's lacking right now for me personally is bands that I really desperately want to see. Looking at that poster, I'd probably spend all day at the Dickies Stage (the one headlined by The Interrupters) and wander over to YMA6 for the end of the day, but I've seen most of those bands before so not breaking much new ground. And while TWY are always a welcome presence I've now seen them rather a lot in a short space of time (Suburbia / Upsides sets at SD22, normal set Electric Ballroom last year, TGG set in a week...) so that announcement doesn't quite hit the same.
