Definitely going this year now vfriends are keen so getting it booked soon. Think the lineup is great. Glad touché amoré have been added.
Nah last time I went was 2015. Almost went the year Against Me played but didn't in the end. After Thursday pulled out, think I literally would have seen ETID and Creeper lol. This year is actually pretty good, I'm very tempted
Thursday pulling out last year was devastating. I was really looking forward to seeing them live. ETID were insane though.
Can anyone give an over arching review of this festival? Hows the crowd? Is it really young skewing? Drinks and food options? What date is better and how easy is it to incorporate into a London vacation
This is a great festival. I have only ever been to the north date which has a new venue this year, but the south venue is your best bet from London. The crowd is usually on average student age but I am 36 this year and have never felt overly old. As I said I can only attest to the northern venue but food is average festival fare but plenty of options. The weather at that time of year is usually dry but not super hot which is a good thing. If I am not mistaken the south venue is about half an hour out of London by train. North used to be in Leeds city centre and had an outdoor main stage and a couple of smaller stages outdoors and then used the various venues around the city but this year is all outside In a park out of the city
Crowd is usually young, but its one of the best days out. I went 6 years in a row to the south before I moved, so I haven’t been to the new site. Its worth every penny regardless of line up. Make sure to go to the after party. One year I ended up just hanging out with Hit The Lights, drinking dancing and singing our lungs sore
I did every date in 2013 and 2015. They were at different venues but both were great. South is a 30 minute train from London.
it’s official. I’m going to Slam dunk Leeds. Can’t wait. Genuinely think the lineup is great this year. It’s also great that the jagermeister stage and Impericon stage are going to be alternate this year, so no clashes. Very happy with that. Anyone else on here going this year?
I will be at Leeds. In theory I will be at the punk in drublic stage most of the day with a trip to see Chas on the acoustic stage but will no doubt move around once stage splits/times are announced.
Final line-up looks amazing. I'm going to SD North with a dozen of friends from Paris, and we're really excited to go to our second Slam Dunk in a row. You british folks are lucky to experience this every year, all we have here is old-ass Rock en Seine ! Also I think the overall age might be a bit higher this time because of all the 90's punk bands. There's a little something for everyone this year.
Looks pretty good for me. Cool that jäger and impericon stages don’t clash and dickies and Marshall stages. Can’t wait for this!
I only care about Employed To Serve, just thought it was an odd mix of bands. Who would have thought Lights and Kublai Khan would be on the same stage lol
