that is so wild. I flew to New York this time last year to see Saetia play. and now they are coming here to Chicago with pg99 and City of Caterpillar with Crowning as an added bonus. absolutely unreal show in 2024.
Help I can't stop listening to Dreamwell. I even ordered IMSDIABY on vinyl and Grotesque too. @Kistler did you ever go to the show? If so how was it?? (Or if anyone's seen them touring on the new album) I keep hoping to see hate5six post a show since I see Sunny posted a video of a show a year ago so I'm hoping maybe.
I did, they absolutely ripped but their set was a bit shorter than it would've otherwise been because another touring band's show got canceled across town and they got added to the bill last-minute. This, sadly, meant that they didn't play "It Will Hurt, and You Won't Get to Be Surprised" which was a bit of a bummer.
Aww bummer! I bet it was still a great show though. Did they happen to play Obelisk of Hands or Rue de Noms? I wonder Obelisk would be without the female vocals I bet it still rips.
They definitely played Obelisk of Hands, IIRC they closed with Rue de Noms but I could be completely off-base with that (my ability to connect screamo song names to their respective songs is... bad).
While I know Obelisk by name due to the change in vox, i def had to look up Rue because I just knew it as "that last song on the album" lol.
Obroa-skai debut LP out today feels obvious to say because they're never not putting out great records but Zegema Beach has been on a nonstop run of incredible records the past couple months. Riversleem, Vibora, New Forms (this one is a real potential aoty, up there with OLTH for me this year), Euclid C Finder, Closet Witch, and now this are all some of the best releases I've heard this year and they all came out over the past like 8 weeks.
