I am massively lucky to have an organic hair care salon that believes in keeping prices as affordable for the community as possible. They charge by hair length, so right now with my pixie cut, the base price is $25. When I had my hair done platinum and recut, I paid $140 total with tip.

If anyone happens to be in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area of Michigan, I really cant recommend them enough:

Yep. That's the problem with those... I looked up the price and it was going to be "from $40". Turns out, my cut was with the owner and no one told me.

I couldn't stand it because of the smell and the fact that my .015oz sample was like $25

Which one did you try? I got the gel cream and I actually don’t mind the smell.

Looking at other people’s skin depresses me cause I’m like, why can’t mine look like that??

I dunno what to do about it! Nothing seems to really be helping. I probably need to see a dermatologist but I don’t have insurance or the money.

Have you had any sort of success? @Carmen SD

What about diet? I dunno what you’re going through, but I know my sister had some serious skin issues for nearly a decade and she tried everything from homeopathic remedies to acupuncture. Nothing. Then she did a massive overhaul on her diet and her skin isn’t perfect now, but it’s gotten soooo much better.

I’m fairly certain that I’ve developed rosacea, and I think diet is a big contributor, but I can’t seem to find the willpower to change it

I have multiple different skin issues. Some which nothing can be done for and some where I just have to see what works and manage them but they’ll never go away completely.

I have severely dry and sensitive skin. And hardly know anyone that goes through that too, but it looks as some people on here can relate?. I cannot use a lot of soaps and lotions, such as the higher fragrant. Currently I’m trying to get rid of clutter so I’m trying to finish out the fragrant soap I have and it’s caused my skin to get more dry because I itch a lot more (I get really itchy to the point where it breaks the skin. I ran out of a cheap cocoa butter lotion (thank god) so I’m using better lotion so I’m hoping that works for dryness (I like to try out different stuff) The soap thing helps me a lot. Even laundry soap, I stopped using tide and use a free and clear more gentle soap that some people have recommend.

On top of that I’ve developed acne in certain spots of my face recently and idk the cause of it. It’s not a normal break out for me

About the diet thing, I don’t have the will power to completely change my diet. You can give it a go if you want? There might be some home remedies that may help you.

i have really really dry skin and la roche posay cicaplast works wonders on flakey/dry/generally damaged patches of skin. its relatively inexpensive and i know the brand in general is recommended by dermatologists so i assume there isnt any blatant fragances/irritants in it but my skin isnt sensitive to those things so cant tell you for sure

I’ll have to try it out some time. Looks like it comes in a smaller tube so it’s something I’ll use on my arms. Usually I’ve used eczema relief lotions (mainly the eucerin and it seemed to help) and want to dry this other brand. And gold bond has a rough and bumpy lotion I’ve been meaning to try.

I think you should join skincare groups on facebook or look through the skincare reddit. Look for people who have similar skin as you, or if you're comfortable, ask directly about yourself

    is this at juut? haha.

i go to the juut in edina (ive been seeing the same girl for the 5 or so months), i pay 45 for a haircut and about 15 for tip. it seems like a lot of money for a haircut but she is one of the nicest people i have met and she knows exactly how to style/cut my hair, and she also gives me free neck trims every two weeks inbetween haircuts.

and i just hate the process of trying to find someone you trust with haircuts. haha

    Progressions next to Nordstrom!

I go to The Look in Burnsville. Amanda is awesome. The owner of the place is pretty weird, though

I was looking for a specific lotion and face toner at whole foods, but couldn't find it. The whole foods near me got rid of all their shikai (sp?) lotion that I've been wanting to try, but didn't see it on the shelf. And didn't see what I wanted from avalon organics. also could have sworn there was different types of Humphrey's toner, but there was only original. Disappointed.

I think I need to bleach my roots this weekend but I wanna do it on my own (with the help of my partner). Any tips or product recommendations?

I used a blue package (don’t remember the brand) from sally beauty. It’s what was recommended by my wax specialist. If you’ve never done an at home bleaching before, don’t put the bleach directly at the scalp (YouTube has tutorials for bleaching that gave me good info)

I just remembered that when I was 14 or maybe 15 I had blonde dyed bangs cut in a downward slope. I was a free man then.

I purchased the gold bond rough and bumpy skin therapy to see if it helps the rough and bumpy patches on my skin. I also had to throw out my old spice soap I had laying around because it’s been badly irritating my skin. Using a medicated soap now to see if it gets better.
