Queen Helene lotion is the best, and it's usually the most inexpensive option. But if you can, find a vendor selling the pure stuff.
This morning I realized I forgot to pack my foundation too so I had to run to wal mart and grab some before work, plus I was sick and mouthbreathing everywhere so I couldn't wear lipstick cause my lips were chapped and basically I looked like death personified.
It's crazy how many times when people touch my arms or something they tell me how soft my skin is and ask me what I use. I wish it was something unique and cool but it's just Cetaphil. It works tho!
I bought the Yes To Tomatoes acne spot treatment today. Gonna give it a try. I've heard good things from the very few people I've spoken to about it.
I wore makeup for the first time in nearly a month today just because I had some extra time before work, and I feel so good right now. I don't want to take any of it off. Okay, maybe my eyeliner because it kind of sucks, but the rest is so good.
to clarify, it's less "i feel more comfortable in my skin with makeup" and more "i finally have time to do something nice for myself!!!" but yeah i missed contouring haha
Contouring basically creates dimension to the face, sculpts it, and gives the illusion of more prominent bone structure, can put more focus on certain areas or take away focus, etc. Contouring is one of the few things I don't do even tho sometimes I wish my face had some definition lol. I feel like I'm all cheeks and nose. Contouring looks amazing when done subtly or in film/photos but irl it can get too much too quick so I just stay away. @AelNire knows me too well clearly.
I have a round face, so I try to at least etch out my chin so people can see that, yes, I do have one! it's there! also i'm obsessed with highlighting. i splurged on champagne pop for christmas (even though i have a colourpop dupe....oops....) so every occasion is the right occasion to go sparkly.
I love highlight. I use matte everything so my face would look flat af without it. I use a deluxe sample of Benefit's Watts Up and I'll be so sad when it's gone, tho it's not even close to running out. I wish I had more of a chin lol. Weak chin club.
Contouring is weird cause it's all an optical illusion. Like people can just make a whole new face, it's wild tbh!!
I used to be in the group that was like OMG COUNTOURING SHOULD BE ILLEGAL..they don't even look like themselves. Now, I'm just like this is amazing and look at all of these makeup Picassos.
idk why it annoys me so much but I can't stand when shows or promo pics have women with their hair all done the same way, usually curled to the nines even tho they're all just chilling at home or something. It's like an automatic indicator that the stylists on the show are prob lazy and nobody on the show puts enough thought into the characters to be styled to fit their personalities.
haha yep. That's why I LOL forever when straight guys say stuff like "I like women who don't wear much makeup" if only they knew just how much time and more makeup went into the 'no makeup' makeup look. lol FOOLS. They couldn't judge how much makeup a woman was actually wearing to save their lives.
Yeah it's wild. Also makes me giggle that guys tend to not think guys wear make-up on camera? I've seen some dudes with so much foundation that it looks like someone was trying to ice a cake
I've started using a makeup sealer and it has really helped in not letting my eyeliner smudge and go all over my face later in the day. I also wore bright blue eyeshadow they other day which was really bold for me.
I know that it typically takes 30 days to find out if a skincare product is really working, but I'm very happy with the Yes To Tomatoes spot treatment I tried last night. The smaller stuff is virtually gone and the bigger stuff has noticeably downsized.
I have had problem skin since I was 13. Tried everything for my acne. I'm 32 now, had to go on BC because of some medical things and my face was breaking out like I was 16. Well I found that Bareminerals has make up specially for people like me and It seems to be working. This is what I use: Blemish Remedy Concealer | Makeup | bareMinerals Blemish Remedy Foundation | Makeup | bareMinerals I use this 2-3 times a week because It was starting to dry out my skin, but now I have figured out when I need to use it: BLEMISH REMEDY Acne Treatment Gelee Cleanser | Skincare | bareMinerals This stuff has changed my skin in just a few months. I'm so thankful for it!
I hate hate hate toothpaste. I gag every time I brush my teeth. Definitely not interested in putting it on my face haha
