Yikes^ Too bad, cause I really loved the fact that CoverGirl had finally named their first male ambassador
Anyone have any concealer recommendations? I was using the Maybelline Fit Me because everyone raved about it but it didn't cover that great for me. I have bad dark circles and hyperpigmentation spots. Having trouble finding something full coverage that is pale enough for my pasty self and that isn't cakey.
I use nars concealer, not for under my eyes but I heard it's great that way too. I bought a cheaper travel sized version and I don't think I've made much of a dent in it -- A coworker got all mad cause her makeup didn't do what it advertised. I asked which brand and it was one of those things ppl sell to each other. I told her I don't trust those kinds of brands or products that claim to do unrealistic things and she got all mad. "All makeup is sold by someone!" True, but every time I encounter the ones sold by reps like that, I find them either overpriced or poor quality or both. It's like makeup for ppl who don't care about makeup aside from trends and what fb friends post. Which is totally fine, but like don't be surprised when u get burned by stuff.
I swear to god 40% of the population here sells that Mary Kay shit and whatever the newest skincare craze happens to be.
Mary Kay is huge here, it was founded in Dallas. so i feel like its exceptionally pushed/sold here. i give a rats ass about it, personally. anyways, i did a red eyeshadow look that ive been wanting to do forever. i think i even mentioned it in this thread and i was like "yo why does it look like i have an eye infection??" anyways NYX sells a Sexbomb palette with the most perfect red shadow in it. it was great and i used a orangey-brown in the crease. i was serving LOOKS. i forgot to take a pic of it though..sad times.
I've taken to dabbing my face with witch hazel toner to hide some of the red scars on my face, but I'm going to have to eventually invest in good and light makeup to cover these terrible acne scars.
This drunk elephant serum is supposed to fade scars. Will report back, but if it works I'll weep at the price of it
I wish! I have the $90 one. But tbh I'm hoping if it works I'll get to stop constantly buying more products and it'll cancel out the price. Thats my justification anyway lol.
I bought something that was supposed to fade scars but I can't tell if it's working bc I always break out in the same spots so I'm like okay is this not working or is this just a new mark from that new pimple??
My dresser is littered with all sorts of acne and spot products and two tubes of BB cream. I've got a shitload of those Korean sheet masks and their copycats too. My problem is the acne scars and pimples because my skin is terrible. :(
Yeah me too in terms of scars and acne. I have super pale skin and the scars stand out sooooo bad. And the breakouts have gotten better but not good enough and I'm sick of fighting it for like 15 years
Keep us posted re: drunk elephant! I had never heard of them but I'm seeing they have a serum that can help with my sun damage and I'm interested but also that's expensive.
I have pretty bad dark circles and I use Fit Me for under my eyes so I'm no help on that front. Sometimes I'll also use Bobbie Brown's corrector underneath to neutralize. But for spots/my face I use Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer and I like it. I wouldn't use it for under my eyes tho cause it's pretty thick and those tend to look cakey.
Lmao my nephew was throwing a tantrum and I showed him the elephants on my skincare and it snapped him out of it. He also loves the twisty top on the tlc serum so you know if you need child management help it apparently works in that aspect at least.
Fit Me didn't give a great cover for me either. Also they didn't have my color. It was either too light or too dark. I use MAC pro longwear concealer in the pump tube. Not sure what light shades they have. I love it and might be my holy grail concealer. That or IT cosmetics has a good concealer, the problem for me is that IT doesn't have the best match for my skin tone.
I have decent skin but I decided to try a different face wash and I can't remember the last time my face looked this bad. Like my mom and a friend commented on it so it's pretty noticeable.
I found an Ole Henriksen nightly treatment and weekly peel duo on super sale at TJ Maxx for $15. I am so pumped! Their products normally work really well for my skin so I couldn't pass it up!
Double posting bc I just remembered I wanted to whine lol I went to the Sephora in JCP because I was hoping to get some samples of some concealers and to maybe try some in store, swatch them, etc. Seriously I think I found 2 that looked like they might be light enough for me and that had the right undertones and neither were fuller coverage looking. I really wish companies would expand their shade range. There are hardly any for really pale or deep skin tones and it's frustrating. And my Sephora didn't even carry half of the lightest colors. Like the displays had them marked but there were no testers and they had none in the store....And don't even get me started on drugstore!!! When a shade is called porcelain or ivory it shouldn't look fucking orange!!!!
