I got $75 in Sephora giftcards but I bought a lot at the VIB sale and $20 off $50 sale. I guess I should wait until there's something I want but of course it's burning a hole in my pocket!!
Saw that Kat Von D is coming out with new shades of lipstick, and I like a lot of the shades. My bank account isn't going to be happy
My mom is so cute omg. She asked me if I wanted to have a little at home spa day thing with her tomorrow for New Year's Eve. She is not into beauty stuff at all but she has been wanting to try and get into it more. She has never even used a face mask before so she is all excited to try one out lol Now I gotta see if I can convince her to paint her nails....
Walmart has the Milani liquid matte lipsticks! I bought one tonight. It's SO GOOD. Like, probably one of the best liquid lips I've ever used. I'm totally going back to buy more.
Just seen that wet n wild was a micellar water makeup remover that works for everything. Wonder how it compares to the Sonia kashiuk eye makeup remover I just bought. Haven't seen the wet n wild in stores yet. I was going to try the rimmel eye makeup remover because cartwheel had 25% off but I looked at the ingredients and decided the sk one was worth the few extra dollars to try out.
I canceled my Birchbox sub months ago but apparently I'm still an Ace on their website. They sent me an email where they gave me 50 points for free. I already had 5 points left over so I used them all and got a Dr. Jart sheet mask for $0.50! I've been wanting to try them but $6 for 1 mask is pricey so I never bought any before.
Do you guys have any recommendations for dark spot treatments? I have some sunspots on my face I'd like to get rid of but I don't even know where to begin (especially since so many of the serums are pricey as hell)
My mom has this problem and she has tried EVERYTHING and still can't find anything that works. Low to high priced. It really sucks.
Damn. I might have to take her route though -- just start trying stuff and hope something works out. It seems like a sure fire way to get rid of them is through treatments you can have done at a dermatologist, but that's some serious $$$ I'm not ready to spend. Worst.
Infallable Total Cover = A+++++ Mixed it with a couple of drops of maracuja oil before applying with a sponge. I'm in love. It hasn't broken down or flaked or anything, and I was sweating from the heft of my shopping bags earlier. Also - Ulta has UD lip glosses for $11. Picked up a nude and a red. So beautiful!
That's actually a pretty good idea. I've mixed different oils into my moisturizers before but I've never though about mixing it in with my foundation. Gonna have to try it, especially since my skin gets so dry in the winter.
I find that it helps foundations smooth on better and cling to dry patches less. Just make sure you're not using a primer or foundation that will break down because of the oil. I did find that my sample of UD All Nighter oxidized like crazy when I added oil, though. It was the only foundation I've used that's done that.
Currently packing... should I purge or just take it all with me? I have one of those plastic five drawer sets full of stuff plus two birchboxes full of lip stuff and a glossybox full of nail polish. And two of those shelf basket things full of skin/hair stuff. oh god why
keep it all of course haha. I have literally double that, easily. I just moved and I keep unpacking and I'm like "what's this box? oh, more makeup" haha and then seeing it all piled in one place has made me realize just how much I have. Whoops. No ragrats.
I def go through stuff when I move. I don't purge it all but I smell it and swatch it and see what is old or I don't use or what to throw out. It's ridic.
I haven't had to move my makeup collection yet but I am not looking forward to the day when I have to. I have over 100 bottles of nail polish alone!! And I'm a terrible hoarder when it comes to my makeup so I would prob not get rid of much oops. Makes no sense. Everything else in my life I have no problem getting rid of, but I struggle hard with letting go of makeup stuff.
Letting go of makeup is the worst cause then a while later I'll wanna use something and realize I threw it out
I definitely should have done the sniff test and tried out stuff but I figure I'll do that once I actually get a vanity and organize it all. I have an absurd amount of nail polish as well. I just really need to get in order lol
