I recently decided I'm going to floss every night. I made it one day. Beauty/hygiene routines are too tiresome. Like I have to take out my contacts and remove my makeup and shower and brush my teeth and then put toner on and then moisturize and then take my vitamins and my bc and lately I've been having to do this treatment thing and then I try to prepare my lunch for the next day and then i gotta add flossing into the mix?? God forbid I wanna do some overnight hairstyle and throw that into the routine! Takes forever to do all that. I just wanna be like "time for bed" and then go to sleep But I can't shift any of that to the morning cause my body refuses to get out of bed early enough to give me time to do anything
I've always hated taking care of my teeth tbh. I've always been insecure about my teeth and instead of taking more care of them so I'm not insecure, it just makes me not want to deal with them cause I'm always unhappy with them. I brush 3x a day, and floss and use mouthwash when I am motivated but I really have to pep talk myself into it. I should prob go to the dentist too.
I hate toothpaste because I hate mint and cinnamon toothpaste is gross so brushing my teeth is a sick game of "how long can you brush without gagging"
I just want a toothpaste that doesn't set off my gag reflex. Or a tastebud transplant so I stop hating mint to the extent I do
I use vanilla mint and it's the closest I've found to something tolerable. I made my own toothpaste with baking soda, water, and lemon for a while but you can't really travel with that
Didn't know where else to post this. I had plenty of time to do my makeup before work today. People gave me compliments and it made me feel good because I hate feeling ugly wearing no makeup most of the time. There's one girl I work with who said she never wears makeup (I always assumed she wore some), and she doesn't need it. She's already really pretty to begin with. Jealous of people like that.
So far I'm not too impressed with the ultra matte lip liquid lipsticks from Colourpop. The color lasted a long time (even through meals and snacks) but it was cracking almost immediately. Didn't settle on my lips well at all. It was in a light color so it wasn't too noticeable thankfully but still. I'm gonna try out the dark shade I got soon out of curiousity and see how that goes, but so far Jeffree Stars are the best ones I've tried. The lippie stix are pretty great tho. Don't last as long but the colors are A++ and reapply well
I bought Tarte drench lip splash lipstick in Mai Tai and it is an amazing color. I don't wear colors close to coral and I just love this one. I just went for it.
i need to find some routine to help with oily skin around my nose and forehead. i didn't read most pages in the middle but anyone have a suggestion? i don't have anything that i normally use
I have really dry skin but my friend's skin is ridiculously oily and she swears by those oil absorbing sheets. However, she uses them 3 times a day and you might not want to deal with that but I can never see the oily skin she complains about.
Do you have a wash/moisturize routine? I have (had?) very dry skin but my forehead has been getting really oily lately and really all that's worked for me is washing day + night and changing up the moisturizer. Lighter cream during the day so my forehead doesn't become an oil slick and a thicker one at night so that my dry patches can get some help.
I have used so much crap lol The Biore charcoal scrub has been working so well for me. I apply a rehydrating moisturizer by Olay when I wake up, then I put on 30 spf sunscreen on my face, then make-up, I come home put some kind of mask on 3 days a week and the no mask days I just wash with the Biore. I learned that I was washing my face too much and it's helped a ton. I hope this makes sense ha I'm sleep deprived. @satelliteskin
something i'll look into, at least! also, i've used those Biore nose strips to help get rid of blackheads and they work okay (my nose looks better than it did before, haha) but i'm considering using that charcoal scrub or whatever it's called. see if it might help get rid of the clogged pores on my cheeks/area around my nose
Have you considered going in for a facial? You can usually get those at spas or beauty salons. They just cleanse your face and get rid of blackheads. It's really good for your skin and my dermatologist says it's ideal to get a facial once a month, especially if you have oily skin. I personally love mud masks for oily skin but those are temporary solutions. Have you looked into skincare? There are some great serums for oily skin.
I hate when ppl take forever to get ready in the bathroom. I wash my face and brush my teeth in the morning in the bathroom and then get ready in my room. The bathroom should be free as often as possible imo! Also shaving sucks. I don't wear contacts in the shower so I always miss spots cause I can't see anything
