So inspiring to me at age 31. I got back into skating in 2015 so I was actually 27 when I picked it back up. It can be frustrating at times to see the younger kids who can progress faster and seem to recover from bails quicker but getting back into skating is one of the best things I ever decided to do. It's good exercise for your legs and gets you outside too.
tony is so inspiring. didn’t y’all watch his loop attempt/bail recently? edit- jk it’s in the edit @Nathan posted, but here’s the clip:
also, recently watched the Daewon doc from Transworld. his story is super inspiring, but honestly Rodney stole the show. so passionate about his friends and the man just loves skateboarding with his whole heart.
Just watched that last night. Rodney and daewon were always my two favs growing up, I rode almost a lot because of them
I was never too great a skater but my best buddywas and still is to this day. After watching that Hawk video that Jake posted it put me on a old skate vid kick. We roomed together in college and I remember watching this part time and time over again.
Okay now we need everyone’s favorite videos in here. 1. Baker 3 2. Foundation That’s Life 3. Flip Really Sorry
I'm gonna boardslide the down rail at the local park finally this week, hopefully tomorrow. Only posting here so it's in writing and I actually commit to it.
Tony Hawk, Bucky Lasek, Christian Hosoi, and Andy Mac also skated today at my skatepark. Really cool day
So inspiring, you have no excuses if you want to skate, I'm looking at you "nearly 30" dudes above me haha:
I used to skate, but mainly as a form of transportation since I was never good at tricks lol. I’d love to get a longboard though. Maybe in the spring.
