Sing Street (John Carney, 2016) Movie

Mostly making this thread to talk about the soundtrack, although the movie in general is wonderful and filled me with joy. I think the title really killed this film's chance at (initial) success. Hopefully it becomes a cult hit.

 

Liked this one better than Begin Again, but Once is still Carney's best by a long shot.

 

I saw this a few months back and I absolutely love it. The movie was great and the soundtrack is even better.

 

Definitely think this is better than Begin Again. Still need to see Once, though I hear great things.

 

Fucking love this movie. And yes the soundtrack is soooo great! "Drive it like you stole it!" So amazing.

 

The soundtrack might make my year-end list tbh, it's so good

So Once is indeed great. "Falling Slowly," what a song. I think I still like this more overall though, I connect to it more.

 

God, I loved this movie. Can't believe it took me so long to see it.

 

Still one of my favorites of the year.

 

This was so good I had to watch it again before the rental expired, loved it.

This is the cutest movie I've ever seen. I legit love all their songs too.

 

I have rec'd this movie to so many of my friends and almost none have watched it and it hurts my heart because I love it a lot. "Up" is permanently in my head.

 

I asked my dad to watch this tonight, and though I didn't have time to sit down and watch it with him, hearing the songs from the other room reminded me how good this movie is

 

I've watched it twice. Looking forward to watching it a third time.

 

I watched this tonight and really enjoyed it. I also wish any band I've ever been in could write such spectacular songs as quickly as the band in this movie.

 

Drive it Like You Stole It was one of the best songs of last year.

 

Bumping this. Watched it for the second time last night and it might be one of my favorite movies period. There's nothing I don't love about it and it makes me want to write songs.

 

Every time I think I've decided what my favourite song is I listen to another one and I'm back to being undecided

 

It's Drive It Like You Stole It 100 percent for me haha.

 

Up remix or Drive It are the best by farrrrr

 

Movie also has Adam Levines best song in forever too

 

There's not much better than showing this movie to someone who hasn't seen it
