I saw that too, but idk what particularly bothered him. I skimmed through the session on Apple Music (gonna save listening to the full thing for when the video is up), and his vocals and playing seemed fine, tho his guitar was kind of out of tune at points. I expected a lot worse from how he made it sound, but I know I would do the same exact thing in his shoes.
I've heard that audiotree can be rough for vocalists at time. they have trouble hearing themselves for whatever reason.. thats why you will see singers with their headphones off at times during the performance. I've seen worse and I think the sound is really good, excited to listen to the entire performance tonight.
Need to give this a spin again soon, haven't heard it in a while. Still one of my favorites of the year so far.
This record fell off HARD for me. I really wanted to like it, but it just never stuck. I'll check out the audiotree session later tho
They sound good on those Audiotree sessions. Hopefully seeing them with Sorority Noise will convert me.
Yeah, I watched the Audiotree session in full last night and thought it was overall really good. Honestly, due to some of the grievances I have with the production on the record I might end up listening to some of these performances over the album versions.
That's sad, although I'm glad there's no bad blood, and I definitely trust whatever Caleb may do next
Oh man, I'm glad it's amicable but damn that's a bummer. Glad I got to see them at least once in this form, though missed the boat on them performing the new songs together.
:( dang. i was just perusing their facebook and reread his post about the band no longer being just him and necessary to include those two. hope all the best for all of them.
