Excited, but expecting this to be super cheesy.

New song is out there. It's exactly what I want right now. Definitely ups my excitement for the album.

It's got their classic sound, while also being fresh in a way (if that makes sense). Love the "woahs" at the end too lol.

I wonder who ended up playing bass on this album. Would they keep stuff that David already recorded, or have someone else do it?

 

not sure about that. wouldn’t be surprised if the just re-recorded his parts. I wonder if he’ll have writing credit too.

Listened again this morning. I really like it, but I kept waiting for a Mark Hoppus feature. Would’ve been a really cool feature on this song.

 

Not bad. Not great, not bad, fun one off I suppose.

 

The production on this sounds a lot like Feldmann/Cervini. Do we know who's producing the album?

I surprisingly really really like this song. I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a SP single.

 

the song they did with state champs a few years ago was pretty good, but that was a non-album single (presumably).

 

@Jason Tate love the band mention in this week’s newsletter. Did you get through the self-titled yet? Probably the black sheep of their discography but it’s the one i revisit most often for some reason.

 

Currently on as I go grab dinner. It’s so much better than it got credit for.

 

Good thing they didn't go with the original album cover though!
