I just found out that this song has had a recent surge in popularity because it's been in a lot of Tiktoks recently... So wild to consider that Tikok has been a huge driver in this song going platinum

It took 18 years for “I’m Just a Kid” to go platinum. Coincidence? I think not. End of days: confirmed.

This is actually super cool! I'm kind of surprised I'd Do Anything and Perfect never got to Platinum status.

They should capitalize on the success and put out a new single lol.

I told them to that on instagram. They probably won't respond because they're such rockstars.

It's kind of wild how tiktok can completely resurge songs. And like Roblox?? My nephew knows a few random "old" songs from both those things. Made him go through a major "who let the dogs out" phase in the year of our Lord 2019.

I kind of wish more of today's youth of discover the older pop punk stuff like this. I feel like Simple Plan's first 2 albums, The Young and the Hopeless, etc would all still be super relatable to kids in middle/high school. But the fact that it isn't a style of music that's popular anymore hurts the chances of kids discovering it.

My cousin, who’s a freshman in college, told me he enjoys pop punk stuff like blink and sum 41 but also says he and friends think all that music sounds “old”.

Also told me him and his friends love The Weeknd pretty much more than anything lol.

My response was 1.) "Fuck you haha" and 2.) "You need to listen to Take Off Your Pants and Jacket then tell me it sounds 'old'".

Also worth noting, he likes AVA more than blink.
