So many great songs on Swoon. Neck of the Woods rules, too, but I think there are more songs on it that I'm tempted to skip. I can throw on Carnavas or Swoon let them play all the way through.
i've listened to neck of the woods a lot and can only remember like half of the songs better nature is imo pretty apparently their best album
I listened to it several times when it was released and it did nothing for me. Although it might be worth a revisit.
Today I think I'd go Swoon>Better Nature>Neck of the Woods>Carnavas>Pikul but I honestly love everything they've done
listening to pikul this afternoon, their back catalogue is so strong. swoon>carnavas>pikul>neck of the woods>haven't listened to better nature yet.
liked better nature a lot. not sure where i would put it in their discography but after a few more listens i'll probably know. highlights for me were tracks 2-6, that stretch of the album really pulled me in.
Man just jammed Better Nature after a long break from it, and it's so fantastic. I love the electronic touches on it, and Tapedeck is still amazing.
I love the part in Dream Tempo where it gets silent and comes back in with, "I couldn't end it there!"
I love them so much. Brian well actually the whole band just seem like such nice down to earth people that would be very fun to hang out with. Sidenote: After getting Better Nature first, then Neck of the Woods and today Swoon on vinyl i'm now only missing Carnavas. I can't wait to have all four!
Why is there like apparently 3 different covers for Swoon on vinyl? The one i got off of ebay is different than the cd and i don't like it as much.
Sorry for the bump, just posting to say this band have finally clicked with me (I tried years ago when Swoon was released and then kinda forgot about them). Carnavas has me all I can’t wait to delve into some of their other releases.
give Neck of the Woods a solid chance, it seems to be disliked by many, but i think it has some of their darkest and best songwriting, some great heavy moments and some killer choruses
