You should dig into their back catalog as well. A lot of great material. Excited to see them twice in a three day span next month, both shows with Meg Myers opening. Great one-two punch of a lineup for me

I vote for Neck Of The Woods and then the Seasick EP but that’s just me.

Honestly, this band has never put out a bad record if you ask me.

 

Better Nature never caught me but I love everything else and this album fits the latter category

I listened to this on a run this morning and it really hit the spot. Starts strong and that run of the last 4 songs is top notch. I especially loved Simpatico, the intro reminds me of classic STP.

 

Listened to this twice through so far. Of course I like it. Idk if the record as a whole will grip me as much as the past 3. If the last 3 are a 5 out of 5 to me, this may be a 4. Time will tell.

 

so, the clever usage of acoustic guitars on this album, is so incredible! there really is a ton of layers on this album, and all over the place there's a mix of super awesome distorted tones, and really cool effects, and a gorgeous acoustic guitar holding the rhythm down behind it.

i can't stop listening to this, some of these melodies are really stuck in my head

widow's weeds, and we are chameleons are up there with their best songs of all time. everything here has something awesome to offer!

 

I also love the layers on here. It's much more of a slow burn than some of their older material, but the production is outstanding.

no one of any generation has ever said that

 

I have a six year old and she has never said that. I also, due to work, follow thousands of 17-34 year olds, who have also never said that in any online post. Not sure who you're hanging around with.

 

Jeez I try to have some fun here and reality bites hard.

Am I the only one who thinks Carnavas is their best? Melatonin was the first of theirs to grab me

 

I can appreciate that record but for me Swoon and Neck of the Woods will be their best by a landslide.

Ragamuffin is one of my favorite SSPU songs, to be completely honest.
