Song gets really good at the bridge. Surprised by the instrumentation focusing on percussion and strings.
Song is definitely one of their more laid back tracks. They could potentially go in so many directions with this album.
It's definitely not what I was expecting in that regard, and yet I think it still works. It's also really awesome that it's out in only two months.
Beautiful song, but might be my least favorite first single by them on first listen. That's not a slight against this song though as their discography is near perfect.
Really into this. I love the strings and that bass.. ugh. Missed SSPU so much. Too bad I don't get paid till Monday - hoping they don't sell out on the vinyl by then.
Oh wow - Butch Vig produced this too! I love Jacknife Lee but I am interested to see how this whole record sounds because of the switch up behind the boards.
this is really interesting, was a bit weird on first listen, but a lot of their stuff can be, after a couple listens i'm loving it and there's quite a few layers to digest. i really enjoy the guitar feedback swells. there's some cool effects going on. excited to hear more!
yikes dont read the comments on their facebook. people complaining about there being no guitar but...theres definitely a couple different guitar parts..
there's plenty of guitar stuff here... it may be a but more subtle but it's there, and they are always good at building textures and taking you through a journey with a song. and there's five songs over five minutes long on the album, so i know we are going to get some cool stuff!
I forgot how hard the middle section of Neck of the Woods goes. Busy Bees, and Mean Spirits specifically.
wow, that song was really good, a bit softer than expected but they really nailed the emotion on this one. so good! i can't wait for this album! also, this album might have their best production yet, which says a lot because their albums always sound really good.
