theres def some rougher production on that album but I really like it.. a song like "world's apart" is a great example. Such raw emotion and the guitars and vocals are a bit rough but it works for the song really well IMO
I can't say I dislike any Silverstein album but I got into them just after The Rescue so maybe it was disappointing at the time? I'm not sure but I really enjoy that record. Not a favorite but I don't think it is a misstep or anything.
I feel that every Silverstein record follows the pattern of (relatively) on/off, and Rescue was one of the off ones. Shipwreck was their concept album and was really damn good (still maybe my fav), but Rescue I think for a lot of fans was a step back. They turned it up again on TIHTWS.
Shane's vocals lower the album down for me. I think you can tell Shane had to do the entirety of the album in one day.
The up/down pattern is definitely there but I liked A&D a lot when it came out, definitely has some of my favorite Shane lyrics, and I think rescue is way underrated. Some career highlights on there.
Almost finished my discog run and now I’m back to thinking arrivals is my least favorite haha. Will lost my rankings after I’m done
Does it say what songs? It's a good idea honestly. Shane sounds so much better since those old albums. Those songs sounded terrible on record but live now they're very good
Just emailed the tracklist REDUX: THE FIRST 10 YEARS TRACK LISTING: 1. SMASHED INTO PIECES 2. SMILE IN YOUR SLEEP 3. AMERICAN DREAM 4. BLEEDS NO MORE 5. MY HEROINE 6. VICES 7. YOUR SWORD VS. Was really hoping for a 10-year ASITS tour lol. Honestly, unless they switch up the versions I’m not super big on this, outside of WBIEF. DTW and ASITS sound great
When I met Shane during the VIP of the WBIEF tour he said they aren’t doing Another tour like that again it was very taxing on them physically
Some of my favorite Silverstein songs, but I don’t see the need for them to do DTW. Songs still hold up in their form. The Smashed re-recording from 2013 is awesome. I wonder if they redid that one again. I ordered the blue vinyl regardless
