The winning song of this bracket is an anti-climax. I'm sure it's the only time a song from the runner up bracket will ever win the whole thing.
i liked the thought of ending on that vote but i also liked the thought of finishing with 17 votes. with that, SMILE IN YOUR SLEEP takes the Silverstein Bracket Challenge by a score of 10-7 over Stand Amid The Roar. So that ends a tourney that ran since September 8th and covered 53 pages(!). It was a pleasure for me to host and i thank you all for playing along, hope you all had fun too. See y'all in the other brackets (and in this one).
This bracket was fun. Special thanks to: @Matthew @Micool1 @SpyKi @bachna84 @truelovewaits @Blink182Bouncer and @js977 of course.
Fantastic. Got there for Like Pacific, they were fine - what I expected. Seaway was fun, but also just fine. I hung in the back by the bar and watched somewhat passively. Silverstein was on point, as usual. This was my 6th time seeing them (3rd time seeing them headline) and they are consistent as can be. It was also the smallest venue I've ever seen them in and the crowd ate it up. They played most of the staples, a good chunk of new songs and some deep cuts. I hung around for maybe 10 minutes after the show and caught Shane after most of the venue had emptied out. He was super nice, had a good chat about his podcast and he shared some of the upcoming guests with me. All in all, another great Silverstein show to add to the books. If anyone is hesitating to go to this, pull the trigger, especially if it's as cheap as my date was ($20).
