After the first run, it's a rough start for cut and run and last looks. Aquamarine: 5 Cut and Run: 0 Ghost: 3 Whiplash: 2 Retrograde: 3 Mirror Box: 2 Last Looks: 0 Afterglow: 5 cut and run is fine but the only really enjoyable part for me is the bridge, same goes for retrograde and its chorus.
Cut and Run probably has my favorite chorus on the whole album, no joke. Don't know why it gets so much hate. Ghost is a good song, but the only part I love is the bridge. First time I heard it, I didn't even recognize it was Silverstein and didn't bother to download it till the album was announced 7 months later. And this is coming from a die-hard Silverstein fan.
The woahs are really awkward to me and kills the rest. I don't skip it as much as I used to but it's the negative standout track on the album for me. As for ghost, it's definitely a bit of a change but I love the lyrics and melody of the chorus so much. I played it a lot before the album came out and worried about tiring it out but that didn't happen for me haha Also, seeing Silverstein at Self Help today. First time since TIHTWS!
