I vote for Giving Up which is one of two listenable songs on WBIEF. ASITS is one of the worst on that album imo.
Current scores: Smile In Your Sleep - 7 On Brave Mountains We Conquer - 3 The Afterglow - 7 Sacrifice - 3 Toronto (unabridged) - 7 Brookfield - 3 Giving Up - 4 A Shipwreck In The Sand - 6
I totally thought Toronto won the IAAIEIT bracket, but I went back and relived the whole comeback by Midwestern State and it made me mad again.
I have to bow back out, considering a lot of these songs are post Shipwreck and I have zero connection with them. Also, am I alone in saying that the Lost Positive song posted above sounds nothing like Silverstein? Or is that what they sound like now?
I haven't heard the newest album, but I don't think that's their primary sound. The riff in the intro is cool, but definitely different and I hear what you're saying. I feel like this band has tried to dabble in like 4 different genre's over the last couple years. Also, that might be their best music video ever. Not that it's anything to write home about, but its a lottttttt better than the old ones.
Where we stand: Smile In Your Sleep - 9 On Brave Mountains We Conquer - 3 The Afterglow - 7 Sacrifice - 5 Toronto (unabridged) - 9 Brookfield - 3 Giving Up - 5 A Shipwreck In The Sand - 7 I’d second the notion that that’s not their primary sound. I’m tempted to say this is their most diverse album in part because I think it has only a couple stereotypical Silverstein songs, and it’s definitely their best sounding in my opinion. Some heavy TIHTWS vibes on whiplash and last looks.
‘It’s time to move on! Final scores: Smile In Your Sleep - 9 On Brave Mountains We Conquer - 3 The Afterglow - 7 Sacrifice - 5 Toronto (unabridged) - 9 Brookfield - 3 Giving Up - 5 A Shipwreck In The Sand - 7 And onwards: Smile In Your Sleep Vs The Afterglow Toronto (unabridged) Vs A Shipwreck In The Sand Begin!
