Second half of Defend You is fucking crazy good. I assume it's going to lose but that's probably the song that's grown on me the most over the years.
I knew no one was gonna vote for the cover song so I decided to be that guy and make sure it wasn't swept lmao. As for the best Silverstein song, pretty sure I said sword versus dagger :)
Who cares if it gets swept? Vote for your favorite songs! Do I need to explain these brackets to you? ;)
That's not how these threads work, man. You used to look down on these things. You've changed man. This is the first time I've done this to you, and I really don't want to, but you've been reported!
Despite being my 3rd or 4th favorite Silverstein album this one is crazy consistent. Not much potential here for insulting results. Because I’ve grown to really like doing this: Discovering the waterfront The ides of March Your sword versus my dagger Defend you Always and never Already dead Smile in your sleep Call it karma My heroine Three hours back Fist wrapped in blood Rodeo clown The top half are almost completely interchangeable. This is such a great guitar record.
Ranking the album.. Call it Karma Discovering the Waterfront My Heroine Fist Wrapped in Blood Defend You The Ides of March Smile in Your Sleep Already Dead Your Sword Vs My Dagger Always and Never Three Hours Back
Your Sword Versus My Dagger - the deluxe edition of DTW started it all for me and the live set from Chicago cemented my new love for the band. This song started the set and I've never looked back. Call It Karma - Always and Never has one of my favorite choruses on the record. The whole song musically is executed so well, Call It Karma wraps up this beautiful album in way that I can't vote against it in this matchup (but I definitely will later) Discovering The Waterfront - I swear if this song doesn't win the entire fucking bracket. I wish they'd play this more. It's my favorite song from Neil's era of the band. Fist Wrapped In Blood - I love this song. I haven't gotten behind my drum kit in almost two years but this one was always fun to jam along to. OMG the matchups for next round
Ranking of the album Discovering The Waterfront The Ides of March Smile In Your Sleep Fist Wrapped in Blood Your Sword Versus My Dagger Three Hours Back Defend You Call It Karma Always And Never My Heroine Already Dead I love all these songs, but I've always though Heroine was overrated
Your Sword Versus My Dagger Call it Karma (my all-time fave Silverstein song) My Heroine (impossible matchup) Fist Wrapped In Blood
-Sword Vs My Dagger (Hard to believe a guitar riff this sick was written in standard tuning) -Call It Karma (I love this song. Something about it is instantly lovable and relatable) -Discoverng The Waterfront (6th Grade tearjerker) -Fist Wrapped In Blood (Eh, don't care for either of these songs, but Rodeo Clown is the cover so...)
