Pretty easy first round for me.

I wasn't familiar with either of the two bonus tracks until today and I had a hard time voting for either of them over My Disaster and Still Dreaming.

I really like True Romance and Here Today, Gone Tomorrow is just an average Silverstein song to me. I'm really surprised that True Romance is losing this matchup right now.

Sound Of The Sun got my vote over Bodies And Words because I really like its chorus.

I enjoy both Worlds Apart and The Sand Will Turn To Glass, but Worlds Apart is probably my favorite song on the album.

 

Can’t believe I didn’t think of this sooner, but My Chemical Romance played The Black Parade in full right after it came out

 

This is my second favorite album from them.

I think that this album has some of the best lighter rock/clean vocal parts of their entire discography. On most of their other releases I've preferred the heavier side.

 

Would anyone else here agree that Shane's screams/harsh vocals are at their worst on this album?

Probably, especially when he tries to go too low which doesn’t fit with a lot of the music. It’s also definitely got some of his worst cleans too, but yet some of the best (vanity and greed).

Really tough call here. Two of the better songs on the album but I give the edge to True Romance for being the more stylistic standout.

I think Shane has said he had to do all the vocals the last day of the studio. And it was like 12+ hours of singing and screaming your lungs out. One of the main reasons why he's soured on the recording experience and Trombino.

 

By the way, if you haven't since this album bracket started, go relive the cringeworthy music video for If You Could See Into My Soul.

 

Unfortunately this band doesn’t have a very esteemed music video collection. Not sure I can think of one off the top of my head I’ve seen more than a few times.

 

They had the Soul video on demand all the time back then. Probably the one I've watched the most.

Still Dreaming video was pretty cringe too

 

I think the one I remember the most is the American Dream video, but just because he falls through the floor by accident at the end.
