Oooh, this is where heavy Silverstein shines. Gonna run through this one tonight before voting. So many bangers
American Dream A Hero Loses (This one was tough) A Great Fire The End You're All I Have (This one killed me) Broken Stars
American Dream A Hero Loses Every Day (so tough!) Great Fire (I love Born Dead, but Fire is just too great) The End You're All I Have (again, very tough) Broken Stars
Current scores: We Are Not the World - 1 American Dream - 6 A Hero Loses Every Day - 4 I Knew I Couldn't Trust You - 3 A Great Fire - 5 Born Dead - 2 Their Lips Sink Ships - 0 The End - 7 Vices - 4 You're All I Have - 3 The Tide Raises Every Ships - 0 Broken Stars - 7
Some absolutely savage matchups in this round American Dream IKICTY (flip a coin, this is basically a deadlock) A Great Fire The End Vices (another savage matchup) Broken Stars
American Dream I Knew I Couldn't Trust You A Great Fire The End Vices Broken Stars The Vices vs. You're All I Have matchup was extremely hard for me. That really could've gone either way. A Great Fire vs. Born Dead was another tough one.
While DTW will prob always be my favorite, I think ASITS is still their best album musically, lyrically, conceptually.
I saw it right after the record came out and I got the setlist after the show. For some reason , it was listed as "Red Carpet" on the setlist
Silverstein Setlist at House of Blues, Anaheim Silly me. They fucking opened it the first time I saw them haha but nothing since 2011.
Current scores: We Are Not the World - 1 American Dream - 9 A Hero Loses Every Day - 5 I Knew I Couldn't Trust You - 5 A Great Fire - 8 Born Dead - 2 Their Lips Sink Ships - 0 The End - 10 Vices - 7 You're All I Have - 3 The Tide Raises Every Ships - 0 Broken Stars - 10
We Are Not The World Vs American Dream A Hero Loses Every Day Vs I Knew I Couldn’t Trust You A Great Fire Vs Born Dead - love the guest vocals from Scott Wade Their Lips Sink Ships Vs The End - liiiiiiiiiiiiights Vices Vs You’re All I Have The Tide Raises Every Ship Vs Broken Stars
This round has come to a close, and that sees my favorite (you’re all I have) knocked out at the hands of vices. Final scores: We Are Not the World - 1 American Dream - 10 A Hero Loses Every Day - 5 I Knew I Couldn't Trust You - 6 A Great Fire - 8 Born Dead - 3 Their Lips Sink Ships - 0 The End - 11 Vices - 7 You're All I Have - 4 The Tide Raises Every Ships - 0 Broken Stars - 11 Onto the next round; some beefy matchups here: American Dream Vs A Shipwreck In The Sand I Knew I Couldn’t Trust You Vs A Great Fire The End Vs I Am The Arsonist Vices Vs Broken Stars Begin!
You’re All I Have is an awesome song, kinda regretting picking Vices (another awesome song though) over it :/
The End vs. Arsonist is impossible, quite possibly two of my top 5 favorite Silverstein songs, and my top 2 off this album, but that being said: American Dream A Great Fire Arsonist Vices
A Shipwreck In The Sand (impossible choice. Probably the 2 best songs) A Great Fire The End Broken Stars (VERY tough choice again)
I'm siding with my boy here. Also mad that I stopped getting notifications on this thread and missed round 1
A Shipwreck In The Sand - what I feel to be a very underrated song that is essential to the album's concept. A Great Fire - I'm mad Hero didn't move on to this round The End - Nothing beats The End on this record unfortunately. However, Arsonist is one of Neil's best riffs from his time in the band Vices - Live banger. Anyone else remember the demo version of Broken Stars they had on their myspace before the album was out? Some subtle differences, but I don't think I would have remembered it if it wasn't for the bracket so thank you!
