THIS IS HOW YOUR PERCEPTION OF OTHER USERS SHIFTS: THE SILVERSTEIN BRACKET CHALLENGE

For the uninitiated, these are randomly generated brackets (no seeding!) to determine a winner for each album, which will then face off in a Champions bracket to decide the best overall Silverstein song! Same rules as the other brackets:

Rules:
1. Voting will take place over 10-24 hour period, depending on how close the matches are (if there's a wide margin too far to beat the round may be run ruled to not waste time).
2. You must vote on every match in a round. If you don't your other votes don't count. Just reply to this thread with your choices. I will not vote unless there is a tie needed to be broken.
3. Feel free to discuss why you chose one song over the other and why you like that song. Question others, too. It's what helps keeps these fun!
4. I avoid byes into rounds if I can, but sometimes it's necessary. These are randomly generated; I do not pick them.
5. Once your votes are counted, signified by me 'liking' your post, there are no vote changes. Choose wisely before posting!

California - Early favorite for this album. California is my home so excuse the bias.

Massachusetts - one of my favorite Stein songs to see live. BACK TO CALIFORNIA

Stand Amid The Roar - my favorite intro in the Paul Marc era

Kill The Lights - Grear b-side from the lighter side of the band. Songs like Arrivals stand better in the context of the album than on its own

On Brave Mountains We Conquer - I knew this album would be special once I got to this song. Paul's drumming is great here and fits the song well

With Second Chances - not the best on the album, but it's always been a favorite of mine

In A Place of Solace - so different, so good. That video of them playing it in a coffee shop is everything

A Better Place - so catchy. Love the bridge here

(Hide Your Secrets was the toughest of the whole bracket, but this is simply much more unique of a song when it comes to the musicality, time signal, lyricism, but 'A Better Place' is still an amazing song, but this is one is one of the songs that made me love this band)

I hate that I had to not vote for In Silent Seas so early on, but that's what happens when it's up against my favourite.

It's funny

I discovered this band when a video game/Skylanders youtuber (when I was in 6th Grade, duh) posted a Drum cover for On Brave Mountains We Conquer. As soon as I heard Shane's voice, the massive drums and tight guitar work, knew I was in love. I didn't even care or notice the screaming, cause it was so damn massive and catchy.

4 years later and I probably wouldn't have even gotten into the Post-Hardcore/Metalcore genre if it wasn't for them.

 

California - Hands down one of my favorites on this album.

To Live and to Lose - This one was really tough but since Massachusetts is clearly winning anyway, I'm giving some love to Live and Lose.

Stand Amid the Roar - This one was easy.

Kill the Lights - Great bonus track.

Brave Mountains - Another tough one. Both songs are awesome.

With Second Chances - Another easy one for me.

Silent Seas - I don't hate Solace, but it might be one of my least favorite on the album.

A Better Place - I like Hide Your Secrets, but Better Place is just too good!

 

The good thing is that neither would win I don't think
