I have this show next week and then a convention the day after....I'm gonna be shot for the con but it's gonna be so worth it for this lineup/two Silverstein sets.
This starts tonight! Can't wait to see the setlist & production! Also, really looking forward to Hawthorne Heights & Capstan
Same. Waiting to buy tickets to see if the set is worth it... I've seen Silverstein a lot and don't really have a special place for WBIEF and the songs I like best they tend to play regularly anyways.
First time they’ll be having a violin/additional instrumentation during the set. I wonder if they’ll force it into songs that don’t have it. Please play Discovering the Waterfront
As much of a special place I have in my heart for Silverstein and ESPECIALLY Hawthorne Heights, I was listening to ACB again yesterday and just thinking "damn this band is objectively the best band on this tour by far". I can't believe people haven't been extremely stoked on them
I would venture a guess here and say that they haven't been around consistently as much as the other bands on the lineup. I remember seeing them play back in '05 or '06, but they broke up a few years later and then didn't do anything for a long time. Silverstein and HH have been putting out albums more or less this whole time. Capstan seems like they're up and coming. I agree with you though, ACB are great and I am stoked to see them again!
Setlists Hawthorne Heights 1. This Is Who We Are 2. Bad Frequencies 3. Niki FM 4. Somewhere In Between 5. Rescue Me 6. Pens and Needles 7. Bring You Back 8. Saying Sorry 9. Just Another Ghost 10. Ohio Is for Lovers Silverstein -Set 1.When Broken Is Easily Fixed -Set 2. Greatest Hits 1. The Afterglow 2. Smile in Your Sleep 3. California 4. Massachusetts 5. Texas Mickey 6. Lost Positives 7. Discovering the Waterfront 8. Call It Karma Encore 9. Aquamarine (Acoustic) 10. My Heroine (Acoustic -> Full Band)
Honestly I feel like the "Greatest Hits" set is missing some major classics like Vices, Still Dreaming & Stand Amid The Roar but I'll take it.
I'm personally happy none of those three are in. That first one is probably the most overrated Silverstein song and I hate how many times I have seen them live hoping they would play ANYTHING but that song. The other two are fine but I wouldn't consider them "classics"
Fair enough, but I'd still take it over Lost Positives which is the one weak link in the set. 3 singles from DTW & 1 from TIHTWS + a few deep cuts and new songs aren't really "Greatest Hits" y'know?
I'm actually a big fan of Lost Positives although I understand why someone wouldn't care for it as much. Honestly I'm surprised they didn't just pick 2 songs from each album.
HH setlist is a good mix of old and new, I,can dig. The Silverstein set is almost perfect. Replace Lost Positives with anything else, but that's the only complaint I have. Hearing DTW and Call Karma with the added instrumentation will be a treat.
I am super excited for this but i was a little disappointed, mostly because my favorite Silverstein song isn't there and also because the HH setlist is just the same old boring stuff. I've only seen them twice, both times were festival dates with short sets, so i hoped they would incorporate more songs from SIBAW here. If i overlook the fact that my favorite Silverstein song is not there than the setlist is not far from perfect for me.
Man. That Hawthorne Heights setlist is perfect and the Silverstein one is a decent mix as well. Might hit this up now.
Yeah, I feel like Greatest Hits would be 1. Stand Amid The Roar 2. Smile In Your Sleep 3. Massachusetts 4. Vices 5. Forget Your Heart/The Artist 6. Midwestern State Of Emergency/Retrograde 7. Still Dreaming 8. The Afterglow 9. My Heroine (Plus Smashed Into Pieces, but they have to play that anyways)
