Posted this in the Warped thread but I figured I'd post it here too. Tonight Alive closed out the Jersey date earlier this week after most of the crowd had left. The only Tonight Alive album I've ever really enjoyed was the newest, but it was really disappointing to see people not even give them a chance when they were actually really solid live. If you don't have a lot of exposure to them and they're closing out the show you're at then I highly suggest giving them a shot.
^I agree. This happened last night in Baltimore as well, everyone leaving after Silverstein. I highly recommend staying to see Tonight Alive- they were amazing !
I stayed for Tonight Alive, because I'd already missed 20 minutes of Silverstein's set, and felt like my night would have been completely wasted had I just left before seeing TA. They were good, but not really what I'm into. I still don't understand why they're closing shows though if crowds are leaving. They'd get more exposure if they played BEFORE Silverstein. It's just confusing.
Do we know what the order is for any other dates coming up? Or are you guys just calling the venue the day of?
I guess Shane posted the dates Silverstein was closing on a FB post for his podcast. I just assumed whoever is listed first is the headliner that night when you buy a ticket.
I wonder who choose this over the adtr tour in Chicago. I think the turn out for this will be low. Adtr is sold out
Jenna is currently battling a throat infection so they played for 30 minutes tonight in MI. She still sounded awesome.
Oh man I forgot that was tonight. Good thing I didn't buy tickets to both on accident. I want to see TDWP and ADTR but I really didn't want to sit through the middle half of the show -- so I chose this. Mostly because I love Picturesque.
Chicago must be selling very low they had to do a massive free ticket give away. I guess that’s what happens when you have to go against the power house of a day to remember and papa roach tour on the same night. I made the smart choice and got tixs to adtr
I actually bought tickets to Silverstein as soon as they came out and after ADTR announced the show i sold them at StubHub
Went last night. I really hated Picturesque and Broadside (aside from Coffee Talk). Tonight Alive sounded great, but it was actually kind of nice to only get six songs, because I don't know if I would've wanted to stand through a full 15 song set from them. Disappear and Temple were the last two songs they played and both of those especially sounded awesome. Silverstein was great as always - this was the first time I've actually seen them headline, and actually been in the crowd to see them. Way more pushy than I was expecting but still tight, and I grabbed a setlist. Fun night.
Silverstein closed out the night. Jenna sounded great for having a throat infection, they sounded good and the crowd was into it. It's definitely not as full as when I saw Manchester Orchestra here but not empty by any means. Did anyone see the vocalist for Silverstein get pissed and start yelling at security towards the end of the set? I didn't see anything happen
Shane doesn't like security to drop people. I've seen him get pissed at them during shows in Orlando.
Got tickets and then got broken up with and I’m not being told I can’t go because he is. Let me know how it is
What time is the headliner (assuming Silverstein) generally going on? I am coming from a late work meeting, hoping I get there in time for their set. Assuming 9ish.
From Irving Plaza in my facebook dms: 6: Doors 7: Picturesque 745: Broadside 830: Tonight Alive 955: Silverstien
