OK guys, no need to create an argument here. Ed Sheeran is fucking HUGE, as is Bruno Mars... what I said was:

"No one stands a chance against Taylor, Adele or Drake"

Which is true regardless of Ed being as big as he is

 

but he does stand a chance against them lol. it just depends on if you only care about physical sales or not. he outstreams all of them except drake

 

BUT I think we can all agree that whether or not Ed Sheeran is on Mount Salesmore is even less interesting than whatever Pitchfork has to say about this album.

All in all, I'm a little surprised by how far Red (TV) outperformed this but idk what I would have expected if they weren't up against it anyway.

 

the conversation is about billboard chart sales though. When the Taylor & Silk Sonic billboard projections were posted, I said that no one stood a chance against Taylor, Adele or Drake which was a direct response to billboard projections.

this is dumb though, i don't think any of us really care

I also know how that user feels about Taylor and it feels like they haven’t listened to any of her recent output or even full albums. I dunno, I just can’t see someone listening to her output and coming to the conclusion it’s dull.

 

I have an irrational anger towards Ed Sheeran, like if you asked me to name my least favorite artist…

I FINALLY got around to this album and it totally lived up to the hype. Paak is a fucking star, I'm so glad he's doing so well, he kills this entire album

I also listened to Bruno's full albums for the first time and I don't know why I waited this long. Unorthodox Jukebox and 24k Magic are great albums

 

i have only ever heard one song of his and it sucks. he’s indisputably massive though, second only to drake in digital stuff.

 

Oh for sure, I'm not arguing that. He's just so, so bland
