I was honestly expecting that to be the moment he cracked and actually stood up for himself

 

I simultaneously felt bad for him and was also laughing at the same time at how ridiculous the situation was. It just kept getting worse and worse.

 

Kind of over Gavin as well. I want a few more Jared episodes and then shut the company down. /end

 

I hope they don't use Greta for some cheap ass ending. I think that was her name.

I just could see some cheap ending where she miraculously has taken everything over. I dread that.

 

yeah I was not a fan of the Gwart plotline

 

Feels very ann hog which was already lame on Arrested Development

 

Gwart is WAAAAAY worse than Egg

I know. And the whole, "We thought we didn't want a kid and then we immediately gave you up and tried for another" I was just like jesus Christ

 

Every time I see Jared this season I just wish he would get a hair cut.

 

also echoing how over Gavin I am....he was a good villain like the first 2-3 seasons but just feels like they've kept him around too long. his shtick of being this abrasive powerful dumbass who just always ends up losing doesn't really do it for me anymore

 

I love Matt Ross in the role so much that I don't mind the fact that Gavin outlasted his relevance in the show years ago lol

 

I love the characters. He’s hilarious. I always see him as the guy from American Psycho though lol

also of course Russ filmed himself engaging in I guess either bestiality or pedophilia, and him just saying you creepy fuck to Gifoyle was great
and Jared is still the best

 

Definitely excited for Russfest

 

A Fyre Fest parody actually is a perfect send off for this show

I am enjoying this season enough. But it’s a bad final season. Major plot points are just blown through so fast.

 

Also, the Gwart storyline is so fucking bad

 

Jared saying Holden's a bitch was incredible
Gwart hates Puddle Of Mudd she's a Linkin Park girl
she's just a hater and no disrespect but she can eat shit

Gwart and Jin Yang are both still very problematic but Jared and Russ are the best

 

This has been a weird trend across some of the bigger HBO shows - Game of Thrones and Veep also come to mind. Even though Veep ended really well overall, it was absolutely flying through plot in its last season.

Maybe the reasons are financial, but I don’t know why it’s so hard to just do a regular length final season.

 

It also reminds me of Parks & Rec, where the final season felt like a rushed epilogue more than a proper final arc

The precursor to it is definitely the whole “two-part final season” which never made sense to begin with
