I really have no idea how they're going to end this season. Gavin's plot now seems to be floating aimlessly, so hopefully that's brought in somehow. I hope the China issue isn't saved as some sort of twist at the very end / pushed back to next season.
Ugh, season started off as pure gold and then gradually stalled out to the point of feeling aimless, far fetched, phoned in, and not very funny last night. I'm not even that disappointed to see that next week's is the season finale, though I'm hoping it at least has a few genuinely funny surprises in store.
that's really the whole show. Wouldn't be surprised if they lose their company and start over with a different idea in the finale.
In terms of some overarching plotline, I guess that's true. But I don't mind much as long as it's consistently hilarious and the episode-to-episode arcs have comedic payoff. This latest one didn't even have that, for me... felt like the writers saw the crypto boom in the headlines last year and decided an entire episode could coast purely on poking fun at it, content be damned. Gilfoyle was really tame and out of character, and Dinesh has become an eye-roll worthy parody of himself lately.
Yeah, I just watched last weeks (4/29), and while some of the bad coding puns were funny, it just felt way over the top and out of character. I know they bicker back and forth, but his tone was just off putting and corny.
yeah I get that Dinesh is the idiotic comedic relief but his Tesla shit is just too ridiculous, and isn't even that funny
That episode was like 1/2 a season packed into 30 minutes and it was satisfying as hell. You know that they're gonna fuck up the Pied Piper success at some point but to end the season on this kinda win felt so rewarding! "You wanna die tonight motherfucker?"
Great to finally end a season on a high note. Also, Alec Berg did this finale and Barry’s. Pretty impressive shit.
Glad they didn't do another restart. Monica should've been more involved ages ago, she really helps the dynamic.
