Great episode. Gilfoyle's reaction to everything, and Jared's poop fare meltdown. Great cold open, I feel like everyone was really good in this. Not sure if I'm in the minority, but I'm fine with TJ leaving the show. lot of good laughs with Ehrlich but I'm just as excited to see where it goes.
Jian-Yang got used way too much the last couple seasons. He's much better in small, small doses. I'll miss Erlich though.
I see you speak fluent Japanese how do you feel about casual racism I'm sure you stop traffic all the time you little hottie when you're older hey this guy fucks I got it from a girl from her husband because I did the sex
This show never ceases to amaze me with how they get out of every little predicament. Also I kinda love that that's how they wrote out TJ.
I really loved the finale, except for how they wrote off Erlich actually. Really didn't feel like a planned exit for that character unlike what they said
T.J. Miller Says Leaving 'Silicon Valley' "Felt Like a Breakup" More detailed interview with TJ On one hand I appreciate how honest he is in this but he also comes across as a huge douche, especially when he shits on Alec Berg and Thomas Middleditch to a lesser extent
Yeah, when he says he wanted that scene to be Erlich's send off because he thought it was funny to do it, while I appreciate the intent, felt like was done in poor taste and didn't really feel like he cared about what the showrunners thought. I appreciate the honesty though. besides SV (and probably a handful of animated shows), everything else he's been I couldn't really get into. his brand of humor isn't really my thing.
This has been my favorite season so far. It's interesting that everyone involved seems to be aware of how the shows cyclically repeating itself. I thought at the beginning of this season the guys would be further along. Hopefully they make it next season.
I enjoy checking in and seeing that so many people enjoyed this season because it gives me hope that when I come back and revisit it I'll like it a lot more. As it stands this was my least favorite season of my favorite show. The pacing of most episodes felt really off to me. A lot of scenes/storylines just felt crammed in and weren't allowed to breathe. Idk.
That's kinda been the show though. They burn through plot lines that could last seasons in just one episode.
It's still a funny show with a great cast, but they're just escalating and starting from scratch and changing what they care about so often, it really is running thin
the joke writing is still so solid that I don't care about the "plot" much. I'm still laughing out loud multiple times each episode, so whatever.
Richard basically had a full Heisenberg arc in half of an episode and then came crashing back to his normal self. This show is literally insane sometimes.
