One of the weakest points in this series is from last season when they ended the Skunkworks plotline within the same episode. It appears we're setting up to atone for that mistake.
“As a product of forced adoption, I can tell you there will be consequences,” poor Jared and lol the Jamiroquai reference
Jared angrily repeating Poopfare is my heaven. That could have been the whole episode and I would have loved it.
Is it though? Purely speculation but didn't they make a big deal about mentioning that all of that companies data was safely stored on everyone's phones through the app, then showed all the phones blowing up? Just seems like the kinda thing the show would do, especially heading into the finale.
Oh yeah I'm sure it'll immediately go wrong next episode, but I'll take what I can get with this show lol
They kind of left it ambiguous whether the phones were exploding because of their app or because of the processing strain from the VR demo (I don't watch the next episode previews so if they spoiled it there I didn't see it). So if it was the demo, I'd imagine there's a chance that not all of the phones would explode if they turned it off in time. So it might not be a total disaster. And also they did at least ruin Jack's presentation, so they could be setting the stage for Gavin to get his job back.
I'd say it's definitely their fault that everyones phones started exploding. That was a great episode. I was losing my mind last week because I knew it looked like Gavin was wearing a wig in the short clip of him at a prior Hoolicon but I couldn't figure out why he would have to, tonight settled that for me. Jian Yang hurrying TJ out was great
Didn't see a thread for it, but that TJ Miller standup special is fucking atrocious. Could only make it 30 minutes.
Bachman going to Tibet was so out of nowhere, I don't want to judge before I watch, but so far it feels like a bizarre way to write him off the show if that's why he's over there
I hope they keep doing stuff like that, I thought he was going to kill himself in the last episode, which is how they would write him off. Now this. It'd be funny if they kept that trend going.
This season has been so fantastic, I'm bummed only one episode is left. The pacing on the show, and the emotional extremes it vacillates between scene to scene are a thrillride. It's one of the most impressive things Mike Judge has done, which is saying a lot.
Wasn't he planning on going somewhere (maybe even Tibet) at the end of last season before he used his money to buy Pied Piper?
