It has that classic pop beat - not too fast, not slow - that makes it very sing-along-able, which will make this song a huge hit
I appreciate this attempt at a 00s power pop ballad but... couldn't they have picked a better guest vocalist? That must be the worst Oli has sounded on a studio recording, and the pitch correction makes him sound like a malfunctioning robot.
Yeah this one is weird. Not really sure who is convincing these pop artists that collaborating with BMTH/Oli is a good idea.
Bad Life is great and has some fantastic vocals melodies from Sigrid - maybe even some of my favorites since her debut EP.
just caught up and yeah no the thought of hearing that piece of shit's voice makes me retch, ew. KEEP IT.
Well over 2 million views for the video; brilliant decision to get this song on the album and making it a single, even if the choice of guest vocalist was bad
Excuse my ignorance but has the guest vocalist done something bad/abusive? I don’t know much about them. Apologies if this is triggering - just seeing them called a piece of shit made me wonder and I don’t want to actively send money in their direction if that’s the case.
Never heard a single note of music from Bring me The Horizon - but reading his Wikipedia page illustrates that he's a piece of human trash
Allegedly slapped and beat his ex-wife, also threw a glass bottle at and pissed on a fan back in 2008. The latter incident was thrown out of court but it was swept under the rug before his band got big.
Thanks. Infuriating that anyone with this level of allegation against them can be given a platform on a mainstream pop album. Hard to know what to do about this album now. I may have to download each song individually and ignore that one.
All signs point to Oli not being a decent person. It’s obvious why producers wanted him on the record, though. Is this now the most popular of Sigrid’s songs on YouTube?
Because they don't have any ethics or morals The record company would have probably green lit Marilyn Manson for a guest spot
Need an app that replaces guest features from shitty and/or problematic and/or untalented people with non-shitty, non-problematic, talented people. Would really come in handy here and on the Avril Lavigne song that features MGK.
There's SO MANY songs from the last few years where I just wish they released a solo version without whoever the guest is. For example, I just saw Olivia O'Brien perform her song with Oli live, but he wasn't there, so it was a solo version and so much better!
I feel like features in general have gotten more common across most genres in the past few years, probably due to streaming and the mutual benefit of visibility/exposure. And I'll be honest, that trend is really hit or miss for me. Some artists I otherwise like are very bad at picking duet partners. The Avril album is a good example, where I think it would be significantly stronger without any of the features.
Pretty much all about streaming algos. Features gets you on people's playlist radar thingies, gets you cross promotional press on their socials, etc. etc. etc. When they work, it can be great ... when they don't ... it sucks. Happy Sigrid's getting good exposure and numbers, wish it was for one of the much better songs on this otherwise incredible pop album.
