As cool as it is to have both Adam and Matt in Three Days Grace now, they're not... really making the 2X part of the band name, are they?
More importantly, are there people who go to see 3DG and MAINLY want to hear the Matt stuff? Like I fell off 3DG in 2012 and I can't imagine the newer version being that great.
Metallica and Linkin Park couldn’t pull enough? That’s kinda surprising. Especially with 6 months to go.
It's probably because they are both currently touring so there is reason to fly or drive out to see them in expensive ass Las Vegas, but the lineup was really good and diverse this year, it is a bummer it wasn't selling well.
It was a great lineup with some cool pulls. But yeah, Metallica and LP are both actively touring and not huge get, even if both acts are pulling stadiums. SOAD was always the good ticket since they rarely tour. People will travel to see them
Report: 2025 'Sick New World' Cancelation Was A Result Of Overbooking Bands & Sluggish Ticket Sales - Theprp.com Pretty much what was already speculated. Low sales, high prices for the roster, complete mismanagement on the budget. They tried to fly too close to the sun, IMO. Misjudged what people would pay for a one day roster while building a lineup too expensive to support, especially for a festival only in its third year.
Like, I can't imagine all the logistics that go into having to prepare a festival, but I think if you end up with tickets costing that much for just one day, you fucked up. It should start with the premise of what a price point would be that you could comfortably sell and then you work backwards from there, and if it means you can't get that huge headliner, then oh well. A good and affordable lineup is more important than having one or two heavy hitters, much less four or five in this case.
