So this lineup better be good then. The high costs part I'm sure has not gone away. I personally didn't think last years lineup was any worse than the year before and not sure what would move the needle this year for people were on the fence but we'll see. I am guessing Deftones and I wouldn't bet against Sleep Token / Knocked loose returning.

EDIT - Also I guess from a quick google confirmed that System of a Down will be there.

I got the sense that the high costs last year were largely informed by Metallica. And I'm sure Linkin Park were way overpaid compared to their value.

So I'd imagine that, yeah, the festival still has a hefty booking price associated with it but opting for SOAD and like, Korn or Deftones, over Metallica is going to save you some $$$ on the back-end for sure while not really hurting the bottom line so long as they put together a cohesive, yet interesting and unique, undercard.

Both Metallica and Linkin Park toured heavily this year so no one felt the need to attend SNW. Shame since the undercard was fantastic and I hope those bands get to play next year.

there was also very little exclusivity with Linkin Park + Metallica, as Metallica's been touring the world for like 3+ years and LP had its big tour coming up after the cancelled SNW as well (though I don't think that one was fully detailed when SNW rolled out that lineup).

Obviously, a System of a Down return to SNW would all but secure it will work (have to imagine they're making so much on these shows it's silly)

3/4th of SOAD are Charlie Kirk sympathizers…fuck em…and Serj can’t sing for shit anymore.

Laughable that people tried to compare them to Rage.

They really need the big 3 of Korn, Deftones, and Limp Bizkit

Surprised that neither Muse or Tool have been booked for this fest yet.

  13. Deftones would be cool to see, but I'm more curious about everyone else playing based on these potential headliners.

what'd i miss about Shavo and Daron? did they post stuff on IG or something?

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

Daron made a few posts claiming to be “far middle” and bragged about not being far left or right. It was low-key pretty cringe

    Not sure about Shavo tho.

I think Shavo just likes to smoke weed and make music, seems like the chillest guy in the band.

After the Daron centrist stand, people mentioned Shavo followed right wing grifters on social media

The undercard is gonna make or break this year for me. It's cool to have those 3 again, but I've went the first year so I'm like whatever on those bands

How much touring will Limp Bizkit be doing in the near future in the wake of Sam Rivers’ death?

Fair point. Just felt like they may want to take some time to mourn and grieve before touring again. Still would love to see them again since I haven’t seen them since 2013.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they postpone those dates, honestly. It all just happened.
